Product Description

Within the control architecture, this product serves the equipment role stated in its description and should be selected by exact model identity rather than by appearance or a broadly similar name. Service decisions should reflect the configured signal and control function.

SIMATIC S5 is a modular PLC platform used in established machine and process-control installations. This product supports the PLC modules function assigned within the compatible S5 hardware configuration. Configuration records should be reconciled with the exact installed assembly.

For maintenance or replacement work, the exact module designation should be checked against the installed hardware, wiring records, and control-system documentation before the component is placed into service. The documented module assignment should remain the basis for selection.
