Product Description

Siemens 6ES7317-2AK14-0AB0 is a Central Processing Unit for the Simatic S7 product family.

Within the control architecture, this product serves the equipment role stated in its description and should be selected by exact model identity rather than by appearance or a broadly similar name. Its role should remain distinct from that of similarly named assemblies.

Within an S7 installation, the exact hardware order number determines supported interfaces and configuration behavior. System and software compatibility should be checked before replacement. The product remains part of the broader control and signal-handling arrangement.

Country of origin is listed as Germany.

When this product is used for lifecycle support, technicians should confirm the installed revision, connection arrangement, and system assignment rather than assuming interchangeability with a similarly named module. Installation should follow the control node's approved hardware records.
