Product Description

The ABB CI801 is a Profibus DP-VI Communication Interface Module used with the Advant 800xA automation platform.

Within a distributed control architecture, communication hardware connects otherwise separate processing or network resources so operating data can reach the functions that consume it. Existing connection and module records should guide replacement work.

ABB Advant and System 800xA environments combine control, I/O, communication, and operator resources. This product supports the hardware function identified by its description within the installed system. The system's documented hardware assignment should guide placement.

Listed countries of origin are Estonia and India.

For maintenance or replacement work, the exact module designation should be checked against the installed hardware, wiring records, and control-system documentation before the component is placed into service. The product remains part of the broader control and signal-handling arrangement.
