Product Description

Within the Advant 800xA product line, ABB CI830 serves as a Profibus DP Communications Interface.

Within a distributed control architecture, communication hardware connects otherwise separate processing or network resources so operating data can reach the functions that consume it. Its role should remain distinct from that of similarly named assemblies.

ABB Advant and System 800xA environments combine control, I/O, communication, and operator resources. This product supports the hardware function identified by its description within the installed system. The installed revision should be confirmed before the product is applied.

Listed countries of origin are Sweden and Poland.

When this product is used for lifecycle support, technicians should confirm the installed revision, connection arrangement, and system assignment rather than assuming interchangeability with a similarly named module. The surrounding rack and module arrangement should be reviewed before installation.
