Product Description
ABB designates NIDS01 as a Digital Station Interface Module associated with the Bailey Net 90 control platform.
In day-to-day system operation, this component supports the information path between compatible parts of the automation system. Its exact medium, protocol, addressing, and redundancy behavior are determined by the module and system configuration. The system's documented hardware assignment should guide placement.
Bailey Net 90 is an established distributed control platform built around modular control and I/O resources. This product supports the control system modules role assigned within that architecture. Configuration records should be reconciled with the exact installed assembly.
For maintenance or replacement work, the exact module designation should be checked against the installed hardware, wiring records, and control-system documentation before the component is placed into service. Connection and configuration should follow the requirements of the platform.
